Update: We moved from Titusville, Florida to Chattanooga, Tennessee!

Our home of ten years in Titusville, Florida sold the weekend of Christmas -after three months on the market. The next three weeks were just a crazy scramble of getting the house packed up before closing, but we still had almost a full month before we could move into our new place in Chattanooga, Tennessee. So, as a sort of farewell tour, we moved around Florida visiting family and site-seeing places we hadn't been before; or, hadn't been in a very long time.

Watch us go deeper in depth about our move on our YouTube channel:

One thing we were sure to do was make a trip out to the Orlando Wetlands. Yes, the theme parks were a stop, too, but when it comes to Florida nature, we have yet to find a better spot for wildlife. Plus, with the new boardwalk, we are able to get even closer to the birds and alligators for photography.

Watch Chris go through and critique his own nature photography:

Further south were stops more for Malcolm because, as you can imagine, he got a little bored just staring at birds and flowers. The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast was a big hit for him. He got to play pretend with a life-size pirate ship firing child size cannons and a firetruck, complete with outfit and hose. What more could a four year old ask for?

Watch his imagination in full swing:

In the same area, we had the opportunity to visit the Smithsonian Exhibit at the St. Lucie County Aquarium after dark! It was a family friendly event where we were given special flashlights depending on the fresh or saltwater tanks, the staff turned off the lights, and then we went searching for fish and coral that would illuminate under the red or ultraviolet lights. Pizza dinner was provided, and I would recommend it for little explorers!
