We spent an afternoon at a waterpark only 15 minutes from Chattanooga with almost no lines!

A few months ago, as a Mother's Day present, we got annual passes to the Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park in Rossville, Georgia. Chris knows that I love theme parks and have been missing the convenience of visiting Universal or Disney easily from where we used to live in Florida. Luckily, Lake Winnie is only about 15 minutes from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and seemed like an easy place to spend an afternoon.

Included in our Lake Winnie tickets is the attached SOAKya waterpark. It has been hot the past couple weeks, so we made a trip to the water park last Saturday and were amazed at how easily we walked onto each ride. It was a perfect way to spend a summer afternoon! There were two kid splash zone areas, several tube slides, but it was missing Chris's favorite straight down style slide (what are those called?).

I even made a controversial statement that I liked it better than Aquatica, to which Chris agreed! This was mostly because we didn't have to wait in hour long lines, hunt for chairs, or walk a mile from ride to ride. Even Mal was eager to check out all of the areas and drift in the lazy river. However, I'm not sure if this is a fair comparison. Aquatica is so much bigger and offers different attractions like the wave pool and slide through the dolphin tank (does it still have that?).

Ultimately, we can't wait to go back!
