We found fossils at the Chattanooga Planetarium & learned about their amateur/professional telescope.

While learning about the Clarence T. Jones Observatory and Planetarium at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, we enjoyed the domed show of the Tennessee night sky, the constellations (including a lynx), and planets. Mal even got to press the button on the program to make the show jump to a different planet! The professional telescope in the observatory was apparently built by amateur star gazers! And outside, the steps are full of ocean life fossils! Perfect for our amateur geologist/paleontologist.
