First time to Puerto Rico - and without the family!

🌴 Join me on an adventure without the family to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico for a conference! In this vlog, I take you along as I experience the stunning Wyndham Grand Rio Mar, a beachfront resort with breathtaking views. My hotel room was a treat, offering a serene escape with a direct view of the lush rainforest. I often woke up to the sounds of tropical birds and had many encounters with the local iguana population – nature's little surprises! However, not everything was perfect; you'll hear about my little bathroom mishap involving a rather enthusiastic shower! 😅 One afternoon, I had the chance to explore the historic charm of Old San Juan. This vibrant area is full of colorful buildings and rich culture. I even picked up a couple of souvenirs: some delicious Puerto Rican coffee for my husband, Chris, and a fun slingshot for our son, Malcolm! Back at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar, the hotel itself had plenty to offer, including a convenient gift shop where I snagged a little memento. The conference took place in the hotel's large convention center, making everything easily accessible. I also ventured over to the Margaritaville side of the resort, which had a completely different vibe! Lively pools and even some chatty parrots added to the fun atmosphere. Overall, the resort and the beach were absolutely gorgeous – a true tropical paradise. However, experiencing Old San Juan gave me a different perspective. While the resort was relaxing, I realized that for a future family trip, staying in Old San Juan would likely offer more opportunities for exploration and experiencing the local culture. So, come along on this part solo trip, part girls trip, part work trip filled with beautiful scenery, a few funny moments, and some insights into planning a family trip to Puerto Rico! 🔗 Related to this video:
