Exploring the River Journey side of the Tennessee Aquarium in downtown Chattanooga.

When we first moved to Chattanooga, as a way to fill my themed entertainment need, we decided to get an annual member pass to the Tennessee Aquarium. It offers a lot of fun for Mal to explore and touch and he always enjoys wandering the paths looking at all of the creatures.

The aquarium is split into two buildings, the larger of the two is the River Journey with animals such as alligators, catfish, and even a touch tank filled with sturgeon.

We recently attended an exclusive members-only event where Mal got to meet some fun characters, learn about fish that build nests (who knew?), and hold one of the turtles from the turtle nursery.
