We visited the Tennessee Aquarium's Ocean Journey Building in Downtown Chattanooga.

We take advantage of our annual membership passes to the aquarium and love to make the short trip over with our four year old and visit the animals! In the Ocean Journey building (the smaller of the two), some of Mal's favorite stops are where he can pet the stingrays, the butterfly garden so that he can try to get a butterfly to land on him, and the room where he can just stand and admire the octopus and glowing jellyfish. The sharks and penguins are cool, too!

Outside we play and splash at The Passage; a water area surrounding the aquarium that appears to be breaking out of the ground! It continues from the front of the two buildings to the right of the Ocean building where there are stairs with water flowing over them that lead to a small pool overlooking the Tennessee River.
