For my birthday in August, we decided to take a three hour road trip up to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (or is it Sevierville?) to visit the Dollywood theme park! The one thing I have really been missing from Florida is how easily we could just up and go to an amusement park and ride some rides. I had no idea just how big Dollywood is!
We only covered maybe a quarter of the park and ended up extending our passing until the end of the year so that we may go back to experience each thrill ride.
Our four year old, Mal, had so much fun! He loved watching the really fast roller coasters (even though he had no interest in riding them), and the color coded arm band came in handy for knowing just what rides were appropriate for him.
We spent a lot of time in the County Fair section where he rode rides and played games. He did enjoy driving on the Rockin' Roadway and still talks about wanting to go back and do it again!
